Linux/games would be the wrong title. It's more like "games". In particular Age of Mythology.

Age of Mythology

To use voice during Age of Mythology to talk to your team mates, there are a number of choices.

I imagine these all work well in cable to cable situation (or even possibly over a modem), but in my case I'm talking from a cable connected computer to a satelite connected computer (with 1sec (1000 ms) ping times). This causes these programs quite some trouble. And to make matters worse, my computer can only just handle to run AOM (32 MB ATI Mobilty 4, with 850Mhz PIII).

MSN messenger - unforuntely, this crashes for me. I updated all by drivers, and also to the new MSN 5, but no luck.
Roger wilco - seems okay from cable -> satelite, but the other way around can be kinda poor. So far .. the best solution. (Don't talk during game starting ... at least once it crashed the game for me).
Game voice - looks cool, seems cool. Sucked.
Netmeeting - by far the best voice quality, but brought the game to a grinding halt. Never actually got it running with the game as well.
